Terms
Terms of Service
Effective June 1, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Seed and Seek LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) when you use Seed & Seek (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully — they include important provisions about how disputes are resolved and how our liability is limited.
Eligibility
You may use Seed & Seek if you are at least thirteen years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that takes place under your account.
- You agree to give us accurate information when you sign up and to keep it up to date.
- Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Your content
The prayers, journal entries, lectio reflections, notes, and other content you create in Seed & Seek (“your content”) belong to you. You retain all rights in your content.
To run the service for you, we need a narrow technical license: you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, encrypt, transmit, and display your content solely so that we can operate Seed & Seek for your benefit. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account, except to the extent we are required to retain it by law or for the operation of routine backups, which are rotated and deleted on a schedule.
We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models, and we do not sell or rent your content to anyone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Scripture and third-party content
Scripture text is provided under the terms of the underlying translation’s license. Public-domain translations (for example, the King James Version) are freely available; modern translations may carry their own copyright restrictions. You agree to use Scripture text within Seed & Seek for personal study and not to redistribute large portions of any copyright-restricted translation outside the service.
Commentary, devotional content, historical context, and similar material that we generate or curate inside Seed & Seek is provided for your personal study use. You may share short excerpts, but please do not republish it at scale.
Acceptable use
When you use Seed & Seek, you agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive.
- Attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including by probing, scanning, or circumventing authentication.
- Scrape, mass-download, or systematically harvest content from the service.
- Reverse-engineer the service, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the service to send unsolicited communications or to impersonate another person.
Subscriptions and payment
The core of Seed & Seek is free to use. Some features may be offered through optional paid plans. If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- You authorize us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis at the price shown when you sign up.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods, but if something goes wrong on our side — or you believe you were charged in error — please write to info@seedandseek.app and we will make it right.
- We may change subscription prices on reasonable notice. Any change will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from your settings or by writing to us. We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the service. We will give you reasonable notice where we can.
When your account closes, your access to the service ends and your personal content is deleted on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Seed & Seek is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Devotional content, commentary, and AI-generated material in the service are provided to support your personal study; they are not a substitute for the counsel of your pastor, elders, or local church, and we make no claim of theological infallibility.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seed and Seek LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or relating to your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Seed and Seek LLC from any third-party claim arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will let you know before they take effect — usually by email and by an in-app notice — so that you have a chance to review them. Smaller clarifications will be reflected here with an updated effective date at the top. By continuing to use the service after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the service or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
