Privacy Policy

Effective June 1, 2026

Seed & Seek is built around a simple promise: your prayers, notes, and study should stay yours. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, what we never do with it, and the choices you have. We try to write in plain English rather than legal fog; where a term has a specific meaning, we explain it.

Who we are

Seed & Seek is operated by Seed and Seek LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). When this policy says “the service” or “Seed & Seek,” it means the website at seedandseek.app and the related applications and features we operate.

What we collect

  • Account information. Your email address, an encrypted password (we never see your actual password), and optionally a display name. We use this to create and secure your account.
  • Content you create. Prayers, journal entries, lectio reflections, memorization progress, bookmarks, and any notes you write. This belongs to you. We store it so you can come back to it.
  • Reading and usage signals. Which chapter you last opened, your reading-plan progress, and similar state needed to make the app work the way you expect.
  • Diagnostic information. Limited technical logs (timestamps, error messages, the route you were on when something failed) so we can fix bugs. We do not build advertising profiles from this data.
  • Payment information, if and when you subscribe to a paid plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and a customer identifier, but we never see or store your full card number.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers or advertising networks.
  • We do not use your prayers, journal entries, or other personal content to train artificial-intelligence models — ours or anyone else’s.
  • We do not run third-party advertising on Seed & Seek. There are no advertising trackers, no retargeting pixels, and no social-media beacons embedded in the app.

How we use what we collect

  • To run the service, sign you in, and show you your content.
  • To generate the features you use — for example, calculating reading-plan progress or producing a daily devotional draft on request.
  • To keep the service safe (detecting abuse, preventing account takeovers, recovering from outages).
  • To send transactional email you would expect: account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts. We do not send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.

Service providers we rely on

To operate the service we rely on a small number of trusted vendors. Each sees only the data it needs to do its job, each is bound by a written agreement to handle that data securely, and we choose providers that do not retain or train on your content. We do not publish the names of those providers on this page; a current list of subprocessors is available on written request to info@seedandseek.app.

  • Hosting and database. The service runs on industry-standard cloud infrastructure with a managed database. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Transactional email. Sign-up confirmations, password resets, and billing receipts are delivered through a transactional email provider.
  • AI features. Some features — for example, the daily devotional draft — call a third-party large-language-model provider. We send the minimum context needed, and our agreement with the provider prohibits retention of that content or its use for training.
  • Payments. Subscription billing is processed by Stripe, which handles your card details under its own privacy policy. Card numbers never touch our servers.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and equivalent local storage only for things the app needs to function: keeping you signed in, remembering your reading preferences, and protecting against cross-site request forgery. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and the content you have created for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal content within thirty days, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing receipts) to comply with law. Backups are rotated regularly and deleted on their own schedule.

Your rights and choices

  • Access. You can see your content directly in the app at any time.
  • Export. You can request a copy of your data by emailing us at info@seedandseek.app.
  • Deletion. You can delete your account and personal content from your settings, or by writing to us at the address above.
  • Correction. You can edit account information directly in your settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children

Seed & Seek is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Seed & Seek is operated from the United States, and the data we hold is processed and stored on servers in the United States. By using the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will let you know before they take effect — usually by email and by an in-app notice. Smaller clarifications will be reflected here with an updated effective date at the top.
